Aviva mums inspire life cover for new parents offer

New mums at insurance giant Aviva inspired an idea to offer free life cover for new parents.

The company says the deal, which provides £10,000 worth of cover up until a child's first birthday, will help address a growing protection gap by raising the profile of life insurance in the UK. It also points to in-house research suggesting more than half of UK parents would leave their dependent children with little or no financial protection in the event of death. Aviva says the application process takes just minutes and does not involve the disclosure of bank details. It says it understands £10,000 would be insufficient but expects a number of parents to purchase full life cove...
