Almost 50% of Brits spurn advice

More than 20 million adults do not want financial advice, and believe they will never need it.

Research for Defaqto, the financial data collection and research agency, also reveals people value IFAs most for the ability to provide impartial advice, rather than their ability to save consumers money. A survey, by GfK NOP on behalf of Defaqto, reveals around 22% of respondents claim they would visit an IFA for impartial advice, while 12%, or over five million people, said the most important reason was to save money on a financial transaction.
