Mary Francis, director general of the Association of British Insurers, will leave her current post by March next year after five years with the organisation.
The move is a result of a decision to focus on other jobs, such as non-executive directorship in Centrica. Other roles include membership of the Court of the Bank of England and of the Press Complaints Commission. The board of the ABI is expected to implement a process for finding a new DG, including appointing a headhunter, in the near future. IFAonline
