FSA appoints new director of enforcement

The FSA has appointed Margaret Cole, partner in law firm White & Case, as its new director of enforcement.

Cole, who takes up the position in June, has particular experience in financial services litigation and insolvency matters. She will lead a team of about 200 people, and report directly to FSA chief executive John Tiner. Her past work has included leading efforts to recover funds lost from the Maxwell Company pension on behalf of liquidators. She has also been involved in recovery action linked to the liquidation of the former Bank of Credit & Commerce International.
