UNIPASS claims £3,750 annual saving per user

Digital certificates in the form of UNIPASS save IFAs an average of £3,750 each year in time and costs, according to standards organisation Origo.

The sum is estimated on the basis of Origo’s annual survey, which this year saw answers from 4,933 users out of an estimated total user base of some 17,000. Extrapolated across the industry, Origo reckons total savings have risen to more than £63m annually. The key saving is time spent accessing online services, averaging an hour per week for 61% of those surveyed, 3 hours for 19%, and 5 hours for 3%.
