McGee to take over from Edmans at end of June

Laurie Edmans, director of corporate development at Aegon UK is to leave the company to become an independent consultant at the end of June, when his role will be taken over by Francis McGee.

Following the departure, McGee, current head of corporate affairs, will take over Edmans’ responsibilities, particularly concentrating on public affairs, government relations and key cross-industry issues. McGee, a former head of regulation and strategy at the Association of British Insurers (ABI), will retain his title as head of corporate affairs and will continue to report to Graham Dumble, the director of risk and regulation, who has overall responsibility for the public affairs strategy of Aegon UK.
