Draft MiFID guidelines published

MiFID Connect, a joint project designed to simplify implementation of the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive, has published a set of draft MiFID guidelines for firms.

The guidelines, covering investment research, suitability and appropriateness, best execution and conflicts of interest, are based on draft Financial Services Authority text and relate to the FSA’s expected rules on implementing MiFID. They have been developed by trade associations such as the Association of British Insurers (ABI) and the British Bankers’ Association (BBA).
