Some of the more obscure requests for personal loans through banks have included plans to buy the ingredients for the world's largest cake or to buy a Bengali Tiger, says Lloyds TSB.
Genuine requests for personal loans have, among others, included a deposit to be included on the waiting list for cryogenic freezing, assets to pay for a robot in "Robot Wars", or even the chance to bid online for a date with a famous footballer, says Lloyds TSB. Although it is April Fool’s Day, Lloyds TSB points out these are genuine requests from consumers, who believe it is possible to get a loan for virtually any purpose.
