In the final article profiling WIFA nominees, Professional Adviser’s Sophie King sits down with Praemium International head Nadine Irons and discusses her career in finance

Living on Jersey, Irons (pictured) who is nominated for PA's Women in Financial Advice Awards (WIFA) Woman of the Year - Platforms award, says she was lucky that a career in finance was an option for young people living on the island. Entering the sector in her late teens, Irons' first job was at a stockbroker on the island at Collins Stewart Stockbrokers, which later became Canaccord. There, she says she was mentored, trained and supported by a great team which gave her a "fantastic start" to her financial services career.
