Today sees the start of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI) financial planning annual conference in Newport, Wales where, this time last year, former Institute of Financial Planning (IFP) president Alan Dick pledged the body would not lose its culture when it merged with the CISI. The CISI then dedicated £30,000 to make sure financial planning was "protected and nurtured" following the merger between the two organisations, which was finalised last November.
