Isabel Baxter is news editor at Professional Adviser, leading coverage of the UK financial advice, wealth management and retirement planning sectors. She is responsible for breaking news, industry analysis, features and interviews with leading figures across the adviser market. 

She joined Incisive Media in 2023 as a senior reporter, progressing to chief reporter before becoming news editor. Prior to Professional Adviser, she was a junior reporter at PAM Insight, covering the wealth management and private client sectors. 

Isabel has reported extensively on adviser succession, M&A activity, regulation, retirement planning, sustainable investing and other key developments shaping the advice profession.

She is part of the award-nominated Professional Adviser editorial team and was highly commended for Content Excellence at the Incisive Media Drury Lane Awards in both 2024 and 2025.
