Income is a topical word right now. Within the industry it means what the asset pays out in dividends, interest or rent. Yet, for the end-consumer, their perspective is more what money they need to meet their outgoings, as in ‘income and expenditure'. We have previously written about - and indeed the regulator has commented on - the misleading names of funds and I hope no end-consumers were relying too much on Woodford Equity Income to meet their expenditure.
