Aviva platform crashes for almost 24 hours

Aviva's platform website crashed on Tuesday, leaving customers unable to access their accounts for nearly 24 hours.

Aviva said the crash on 17 September was down due to an internal problem with its system. The company said it was working hard to resolve the issue.  Customers complained on Twitter, saying they were unable to access their 'MyAviva' account with some noting the website would not recognising their password.  An Aviva spokesperson said: "We apologise to any of our customers or advisers affected by some IT issues we experienced yesterday.
