Several weeks have passed since the momentous decision was taken by the British people to leave the European Union - and it could take several more years before the UK can extricate itself from the influence of EU directives and rulings. Already we have witnessed some financial fall-out from the decision to go it alone in the big bad world - our currency has devalued; equity markets have fallen, only to rise again; property prices are under pressure in some parts of the country; and the rating agencies have taken their revenge on our temerity to challenge global macroeconomic institution...
