From the editor: Are we too hung up on a hung parliament?

You may not agree with Gordon Brown's handling of the economic crisis, but at least it can be said there is one party controlling policy.

Even this certainty may be thrown out of the window in the coming months as the prospect of a hung parliament becomes more likely. A poll by the Sunday Times suggested David Cameron was only 2 points ahead of Brown, which makes the prospect of some form of coalition probable. Obviously, a lot can change in the run up to an election and we are not even sure when this will happen. One false move and the voters could swing the other way.
