As summer comes to a close, holidays become a distant memory and the nights draw in, the months ahead could prove to be gloomy.

Add a dollop of the recent happenings in the worldwide banking industry, a big slice of the credit crunch and an ever-looming recession I can see why as a nation we are feeling more pressured and stressed. I’ve been reading the recent research commissioned by Friends Provident and UK charity the Blood Pressure Association that shows almost 29 million people feel more stressed, less fit and healthy, and are more prone to illness than they were three years ago.
