The implementation of the feedback RDR proposals, which include setting QCA level four qualification as the minimum entry level for investment advisers, has the potential to cause a seismic shift in the advice landscape.
But ultimately, after the dust has settled, I believe we will see the advice market emerge stronger and fitter for it, thankfully. The decision to make Diploma level qualifications the benchmark for entry was music to my ears, although I would have preferred to have seen Chartered become the benchmark, albeit with a 10-year lead in.
