Broken Promises

I must confess I haven't been following the American elections particularly closely but I can't help picking up on the war of words between the candidates.

Both are trying to show the value they’ll add should they get in to office. But whether or not the successful candidate actually lives up to their promises only time will tell. At least we can understand what they’re going through and why they’re selling themselves, as it’s something we’ve all gone through, even if it’s on a more modest and private scale. When applying for a job we sell a promise of what we can do for the company we want to work for. As an industry we’re doing exactly the same thing with the products we sell, making a promise to our customers that they will be covered...
