It seems I'm a little late with this but perversely it has given me the opportunity to have a wee chuckle at some of the very recent goings on in the sector.

Hilarious day today as the life sector engaged in much wailing and gnashing of teeth due to the apparently imminent withdrawal of tax relief from pension term assurance products. Apparently there may be as many as 37,000 cases in the ‘pipeline’ - if that’s not a sales-type expression then I don’t know what is!! I think of the commentary I have read it is only those very smart people at Lifesearch that have indicated that they were abreast of what was going on and how it might pan out.
