Financial advice for all seemed to be the theme last week, with the launch of the Thoresen Review and the Government's swift announcement of funding for a "Money Guidance" pilot.
Whilst we can all find aspects of the proposals to like and dislike, one of the most thought provoking aspects of the review concerns the methods of service delivery. The modelling in the review anticipates that 25%-50% of the service will be delivered by telephone and between 30%-60% will be delivered on the web, and states that the face to face option is anticipated to be used mainly by the “most vulnerable” users.
