Cutting & Carter purchase adds £60m AUM

Clifton Wealth Partnership has completed its purchase of financial planning firm Cutting & Carter, adding about £60m assets under management (AUM).

Cutting & Carter is based in Maldon and works with roughly 500 clients in the Essex area. The business was launched 25 years ago and Cutting & Carter directors Steve Carter and Gary Smith have each spent more than 40 years working in financial services, according to Clifton Wealth Partnership. Both directors will continue to be involved in the acquired business for a transitional period of up to two years, gradually tapering into retirement.
