Norwich advice firm declared failed by FSCS

Signpost Financial Planning faces claims over general investments and SIPPs

The Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) has declared Signpost Financial Planning in default with claims relating to general investments and self-invested personal pensions (SIPPs).

The lifeboat fund confirmed to PA that the Norwich-based firm was declared in default yesterday (12 August), when the first claim was upheld. So far there have been eight claims in total relating to general investments and SIPPs. "This firm is no longer trading, so you may be able to make a claim against it," the FSCS' notice stated. Signpost Financial Planning entered voluntary liquidation in September 2020, its Companies House filings show. The firm was incorporated in November 2011 and was dissolved in January this year.
