We’re now four months on since the launch of the Financial Conduct Authority’s targeted support regime, and the picture is starting to look rosier in terms of provider take up.

PA senior reporter Sophia Panayi has been doggedly following along with targeted support updates, bringing news of more banks, platforms and providers jumping in. Her latest, this week Hargreaves Lansdown (HL) signalled its intent to hop on the people-in-similar-circumstances-to-you recommendations bandwagon. You might be nuts not to have expected HL to get involved; among other things, the platform is one of the backers of the government's Savvy the Squirrel ‘Invest for the Future' campaign (let us know if you spot Savvy in the wild before he makes his autumn TV debut – the team here...
