Taskforce launched to 'raise' financial planning exit standards

The Consumer Duty Alliance (CDA) has today (5 March) launched a UK-wide taskforce, the Succession Alliance, in a bid to improve financial planning succession outcomes.

The Succession Alliance's initial aims include "promoting greater consistency" across succession planning approaches, in addition to "improving" education and understanding of exit options. It is further expected to develop a "voluntary charter" with minimum standards for those involved in external succession. The taskforce is overseen by a board, chaired by Melo chief innovation officer Ben Wright, a past Personal Finance Society board director.
