PIMFA names Lord Tyrie chair

The Personal Investment Management & Financial Advice Association (PIMFA) has named Lord Tyrie as chair, succeeding Lord Deben.

Lord Tyrie brings "extensive experience, expertise and a proven track record of championing industry standards and fairness, having played a significant role in and reshaping many aspects of financial regulation over the past two decades", according to a PIMFA update shared this afternoon (3 March). Lord Tyrie's served as chair of the Competition and Markets Authority from June 2018 to September 2020. He was chair of the Treasury Select Committee from 2010 to 2017, chaired the Parliamentary Commission on Banking Standards, and served as MP for Chichester from 1997 to 2017. He is ex...
