Walker Crips gets court approval for PhillipCapital takeover

Overcomes court hurdle after takeover announcement in November

Walker Crips will be acquired by Singaporean financial services group PhillipCapital after receiving approval from the courts.

In an update from the court today (27 February), Walker Crips confirmed that the High Court of Justice sanctioned the scheme, with it expected to become effective on 3 March 2026 upon filing of the court order. Following the announcement, trading in Walker Crips shares will be suspended from 7.30am on 3 March 2026 and the last day for share dealings and transfers is 2 March 2026. Listing cancellation is expected by 4 March 2026, after which share certificates will no longer be valid.
