Shackleton adds £900m in AUM with Chetwood Group acquisition

Fourth acquisition of 2025 for private equity-backed advice group

Shackleton has bought Chetwood Group in its fourth deal of 2025, adding £900m in assets under management (AUM) and expanding its presence in the South West.

The private equity-backed national advice firm said the deal brought its total AUM to just over £8bn. The Chetwood Group is made up of Chetwood Wealth Management, Chetwood Investment Management, Chetwood Private Wealth, Ermin Fosse Financial Management and Darnells Wealth Management. It has 45 members of staff. The deal comes after Shackleton's private equity backers changed from Sovereign Capital Partners to Lee Equity Partners.
