Openwork in growth push with partner firm Milecross acquisition

Makes first investment into one of its partner firms

Network Openwork has bought one of its own member firms, Milecross Financial Solutions (Milecross).

The network said it was its first strategic investment into one of its own firms and comes after investment group Bain Capital took a 30% stake in the business in a deal worth £120m. Milecross is a national advice firm with about 100 advisers across 30 locations. It advises clients on pensions, investments, protection, and mortgages. Milecross has about £750m of assets under management and arranges in the region of £600m of mortgage lending each year.
