Firms need to “embrace the huge opportunity to shape the financial advice sector”, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has said.

Speaking yesterday (8 February) at The Lang Cat's Regenerate 2024 conference, head of consumer investments policy and market analysis Kate Blatchford-Hick suggested that there are "huge opportunities for firms to demonstrate how they can offer value to their clients". "This will help shape the sector," she said. Blatchford-Hick also highlighted the regulator's proposals including the simplified advice regime as part of its advice / guidance boundary review, as well as targeted support, and explained that they are the FCA's attempt at creating new avenues for firms to provide support...
