SG Wealth Management founder Stephen Girling dies aged 61

Girling had been in the industry since 1978 and launched the firm in 2001

SG Wealth Management founder and managing director Stephen Girling has passed away at his home in Norwich.

Girling started in financial services in 1978 and went on to jointly launch the Chartered financial planning firm in 2001. A statement released by SG Wealth Management said that Girling, the married father of three, was taken ill last month and died peacefully surrounded by his family. "Stephen was well known throughout the region for his charitable and community activities, as well as being a respected voice in the financial services media," the firm wrote.
