AJ Bell has named Rob Burdett as independent chair of its investment committee, following the retirement of Jim Sutcliffe.
Burdett will provide governance and oversight of the AJ Bell fund range and MPS service, including the investment strategy, asset allocation process, manager oversight and risk management. He is currently head of multi-manager at Nedgroup Investments, where he will remain in post, and has held senior roles at Rothschild Asset Management, Thames River, BMO Global Asset Management, Columbia Threadneedle and Credit Suisse.
