Chancellor Jeremy Hunt will remain in his role after prime minister Rishi Sunak reshuffled his cabinet this morning (13 November), sacking home secretary Suella Braverman.

James Cleverly is set to replace Braverman whilst former prime minister David Cameron will take the position of foreign secretary in an unexpected announcement. The chancellor has faced pressure from members of parliament to offer tax cuts ahead of the general election, but he has prioritised efforts to cut inflation. Hunt, who has been chancellor since 2022, is expected to announce significant changes to the ISA regime in the Autumn Statement next week (22 November). Existing ISA rules could be relaxed from April next year to allow savers to pay into multiple ISAs of the same type...
