Adviser calls for 'change to PFS board structure' with open letter

Chartered financial planner Alasdair Walker has called for “a change to the Personal Finance Society (PFS) board structure” after sending out an open letter.

On Friday (27 October), Walker sent an open letter to the PFS, demanding that it "seek an immediate transfer of all PFS funds to an account in the sole name and control of PFS". The dispute between the PFS and the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) came about when the CII decided to appoint three new directors to the PFS board, taking control of the professional body. An email was sent to 600 members who have signed up to Walker's mailing list for the ‘Our PFS' campaign.
