The adviser categories for 2024 are:
Administrator of the Year
We are calling on administrators to put themselves forward. Advisers and paraplanners are also encouraged to enter administrators who have impressed them for this award. With this award we are looking for you to outline how and why the administrator has made a difference, both to their working lives and to outcomes for clients, over the last 12 months.
Best Advice Network
We are looking for a network that has made the most progress over the last 12 months to help its adviser members grow their businesses and support their clients.
Best Adviser Firm for ESG
We are looking for financial advice firms that have integrated ESG factors into the centre of their investment processes or have created a segmented part of their investment proposition centred around ESG. Suitability in this area is key, so we want to hear from firms who make sure they understand and balance client needs and wishes in this area.
Best Adviser Firm for Vulnerable Client Care
We want to hear from firms who have provided the best care for their vulnerable clients over the last 12 months and who can prove and outline why they have gone above and beyond to ensure they felt financially secure and confident.
Best Adviser Marketing Initiative
This award is for financial adviser firms only and will be judged on an innovative idea(s) the business has put forward in the past 12 months to help engagement with new and potential clients. Examples will be needed in terms of the type of marketing activity, how, why, what, who, and the impact it has had on the business.
Best Adviser Website
If you believe your advice firm's website has a winning combination of great design, simple and consumer-friendly navigation and excellent content that adds up to an all-round great user experience, this is the category for you.
Best Client Engagement (Adviser)
We are looking for advice firms that have come up with powerful and/or innovative ways to communicate with their clients in the last 12 months.
Best Consumer Duty Initiative (Adviser)
***NEW FOR 2024***
We are looking for the firm with the best initiative, programme or strategy around Consumer Duty implementation to tell us why they are a standout, and how their offerings grown and been developed in the last 12 months.
Best D&I Initiative
We are looking for an advice firm that has put a forward-thinking, innovative initiative in place to bolster diversity, equality or inclusion in the last 12 months. This can be within the firm or externally.
Best Retirement Initiative
We are looking for a firm that stands out in the retirement planning space that has developed an industry-leading initiative over the last 12 months.
Champion of Advice Award
You may hold any position to enter this award - you could be an adviser, a paraplanner, an administrator, an employee at a provider, a marketing or communications specialist etc. We are looking for an individual who has blazed a trail of innovation in the last 12 months either through pro bono work, starting a new initiative, or their wider contribution to the industry.
Newcomer of the Year
We are looking for people who have switched from another career and become financial advisers no earlier than January 2022 to tell us how they have progressed and excelled in the last 12 months specifically.
Outstanding Contribution to the Advice Industry
Are you a stalwart in the advice industry or do you know someone whose name and work is synonymous with best practice? This category is for someone who has gone above and beyond with their contribution to the industry over an extended number of years.
Paraplanner of the Year
We are calling on paraplanners who have made a significant, positive difference over the past 12 months at their firm, particularly to firm operations and outcomes for clients.
Young Achiever of the Year
We are looking for an exceptional young adviser who will be aged 30 or under as of 29 February 2024 and is a standout in the industry.
Adviser Firm of the Year — London
This award seeks to highlight a firm with outstanding advice processes and an internal commitment to best practice among adviser staff. Firms will also need to demonstrate how they contribute to the financial planning profession more widely through external initiatives. Open to firms in Greater London and the City of London.
Adviser Firm of the Year — Midlands & East Anglia
This award seeks to highlight a firm with outstanding advice processes and an internal commitment to best practice among adviser staff. Firms will also need to demonstrate how they contribute to the financial planning profession more widely through external initiatives. Open to firms in Cambridgeshire, Derbyshire, Herefordshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Norfolk, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire, Rutland, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Suffolk, Warwickshire, West Midlands, and Worcestershire.
Adviser Firm of the Year — North East
This award seeks to highlight a firm with outstanding advice processes and an internal commitment to best practice among adviser staff. Firms will also need to demonstrate how they contribute to the financial planning profession more widely through external initiatives. Open to firms in Durham, East Riding of Yorkshire, North Yorkshire, Northumberland, Tyne & Wear, and West Yorkshire.

This award seeks to highlight a firm with outstanding advice processes and an internal commitment to best practice among adviser staff. Firms will also need to demonstrate how they contribute to the financial planning profession more widely through external initiatives. Open to firms anywhere in Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Adviser Firm of the Year — South East
This award seeks to highlight a firm with outstanding advice processes and an internal commitment to best practice among adviser staff. Firms will also need to demonstrate how they contribute to the financial planning profession more widely through external initiatives. Open to firms in Bedfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, East Sussex, Essex, Hampshire, Hertfordshire, Isle of Wight, Kent, Oxfordshire, Surrey, and West Sussex.
Adviser Firm of the Year — South West & Wales
This award seeks to highlight a firm with outstanding advice processes and an internal commitment to best practice among adviser staff. Firms will also need to demonstrate how they contribute to the financial planning profession more widely through external initiatives. Open to firms anywhere in Wales as well as firms in Bristol, Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Somerset, and Wiltshire.
