PFS opens adviser ESG short course tied into Consumer Duty work

Society says clients are increasingly interested in sustainable investing

The Personal Finance Society (PFS) and the Chartered Insurance Institute have launched an ESG short course for advisers based on the back of demand it is seeing among clients.

The PFS today (25 September) said it had seen "increased interest from clients about sustainable investments" as well as "shifts in cultural attitudes to sustainability". It added that, along with building scrutiny on sustainable investing from regulators, prompted the creation of the course. PFS interim chief executive Don MacIntyre said: "This is a brilliant opportunity for finance professionals to build their skills and knowledge and gain valuable understanding of this important topic in order to best meet clients' needs."
