Complaints on pensions and investments escape top five FOS problems

The ombudsman has released its latest complaints data analysis

The number of complaints received by the Financial Ombudsman Services (FOS) relating to either pensions or investments are no longer within the most significant, new data shows.

The FOS has today (14 June) published its annual complaints data for the 2022/23 financial year, which also includes its insight into the most common problems raised by consumers across the UK. The data shows there were 7,953 complaints about investments in the 12 months to 31 March, along with 6,043 complaints relating to pensions. This put investments and pensions as the fifth and sixth most-complained about financial products behind banking, consumer credit, mortgages, and insurance.
