The majority of Brits who say financial advice is too expensive to consider are aged 55 and above, according to new research from My Pension Expert.
The at-retirement specialist firm's report ‘Dream Retirement: Understanding Briton's retirement aspirations and challenges' - published today (17 February) - looked at savers' challenges and concerns around retirement. It found that while just over a third (34%) of Brits have spoken with an IFA in the past, many are not using advisers to help prepare financially for retirement. Cost, unsurprisingly, was a key barrier, with Baby Boomers the age group who identified themselves as most likely not to seek advice due to that.
