FSCS receives 25 pension claims about Shropshire advice firm

The Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) has declared the Shropshire-based advice firm Nationwide Benefit Consultants Limited (NBCL) and Devon-based Trust Financial Consulting (TFC) in default.

One of the two firms, NBCL, acted as an appointed representative (AR) of Joseph Oliver Mediação de Seguros, Lda - a Portuguese firm regulated by the Instituto de Seguros de Portugal - between 29 May 2014 and 8 April 2016. Joseph Oliver Mediação de Seguros, Lda passported into the UK under the Insurance Distribution Directive, according to the FSCS. NBCL, trading as ‘The Pension Reporter', was incorporated on 15 December 2011, according to Companies House.
