CEO Connellan steps down

Richard Wilson, CEO of interactive investor (ii) will take on an expanded role as CEO of the abrdn’s personal wealth business, the firm has revealed.

He is set to replace Caroline Connellan, who joined the firm in October 2021 from Brooks Macdonald and will step down from her role at the end of August. According to abrdn, financial planning, discretionary and digital solutions will be moved under Wilson's leadership following Connellan's departure.  Prior to joining ii, Wilson was CEO at investment platforms Alliance Trust Savings and The Share Centre. abrdn's CEO Stephen Bird said that Connellan has made a real difference since she joined the firm last year.
