Tilney Smith & Williamson makes double adviser acquisition in Scotland

Tilney Smith & Williamson has expanded its footprint in Scotland with the purchase of an Edinburgh-based advice firm and its appointed representative.

It said Capital Risk Management's 10-strong team - including directors Grant Walker and Willie Crockett - would join its Edinburgh office as well as the owner of Capital Risk Management's appointed representative firm, MP2 Financial. It has bought both firms. MP2's director John Mortimer will also join the wealth management business under the terms of the deal completed through the wealth manager's succession programme for advisers approaching retirement.
