Baillie Gifford drops out of top ten in FE Crown Ratings after 'market shifts'

Funds with a broad range of strategies have gained the highest rating in the latest rebalance of FE fundinfo’s Crown Ratings due to recent market rotations, while among the fund groups, Baillie Gifford dropped out of the top ten after its funds suffered “a period of underperformance”.

Overall, 127 funds gained the 5-Crown rating in the updated ratings, bringing the total number to 406. FE fundinfo said seven funds achieved the highest 5-Crown rating "at the first time of asking", including EFG Asset Management's New Capital Global Balanced fund, Legal & General's L&G Future World Sustainable Opportunities, the Ninety One UK Sustainable Equity fund, Octopus Investments' FP Octopus UK Multi Cap Income fund and Omnis Investments' Asia Pacific ex-Japan Equity fund.
