CISI chief executive Simon Culhane to exit after 18 years

Made 'significant contribution'

Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) chief executive Simon Culhane is to step down in September 2022, the body has confirmed.

Long-serving Culhane was appointed as CEO in May 2004 to the Securities Institute which then had a total of 65 staff, all UK-based. The professional body expanded significantly under his leadership, working in the wealth, financial planning and capital markets sectors with more than 40,000 exams taken during a normal year. Its qualifications are now recognised in 70 jurisdictions.
