Tilney Smith & Williamson snaps up Explore WM in North East

Tilney Smith & Williamson has added the team from North East adviser firm Explore Wealth Management to its Newcastle office for an undisclosed fee through its succession programme.

Six staff from Explore WM have joined the company, it said, including owner Stephen Sumner, and will move from the adviser firm's Cramlington base in Northumberland to Tilney S&W's Newcastle office. The addition of Explore WM's team takes the headcount in Tilney S&W's Newcastle office to 22. Earlier this year Tilney S&W established an investment management team in the North East.
