M&G Wealth accepts first trainees into advice academy

Offer support to become ARs of firm

M&G Wealth has accepted its first cohort of students into its financial advice academy.

The firm's academy offers a structured training and development course. Over two years, M&G Wealth said, the trainees will develop the "relevant knowledge, skills and behaviours" to become a successful financial adviser. It will also offer support to the students to set up their own advice businesses as appointed representatives of M&G Wealth or to join an existing firm within the company. It said a student, a pilot and a butcher were among those in the first cohort of students switching careers.
