IFA's horse wins King's Stand Stakes race at Royal Ascot

A horse partly owned by Homecroft Wealth chief executive Stephen Piper won a coveted race at this year's Royal Ascot event.

Racing on Tuesday (15 June), five-year-old Oxted (pictured, centre) won the five-furlong King's Stand Stakes at Royal Ascot with his jockey Cieren Fallon. It was a first Royal Ascot win for both Fallon and Oxted's trainer, Roger Teal. Speaking to Professional Adviser, Piper explained how he set up Homecroft Wealth Racing, which helps breed horses while also sponsoring them and their jockeys at races. He chose to breed Oxted a little over five years ago after his mother, whom Piper also owns, was forced to retire from racing due to injury. Oxted is named after the town in Surrey ...
