Frenkel Topping makes £9m double Doncaster acquisition

Frenkel Topping has bought Doncaster-based legal businesses A&M Bacon and Partners in Costs.

Frenkel Topping said the firms, worth a collective £9m in the deal, specialise in legal costs, particularly dealing with personal injury claims and professional negligence. Of the £9m fee, £5m will be paid in cash up front, just under £1m through the issue of 2,000,000 ordinary shares and the remaining £3.1m of deferred payments will be paid over the next two years. A&M Bacon chief executive officer Reuben Glynn and Partners in Cost chief executive officer Teresa Aitken will remain in their roles following the acquisition.
