Advisers bullish on sector prospects but waiver on UK economic outlook - survey

Confidence in the advice sector remains high among financial planners with more than 90% saying they are optimistic about their job and business prospects but positivity on the UK's economic bounceback has dropped, data from Standard Life shows

The provider's bi-annual survey of 250 UK financial advisers found 93% were confident about their own job and the same amount were positive on prospects for their firm. This was slightly down on last year when the survey showed 95% and 96% respectively. Confidence in the UK's economic recovery was markedly down on Q2 2020 with 57% saying they were optimistic. Standard Life said this was down ten percentage points on the previous survey results.
