Quilter has launched an online tool for people to report suspected impersonation scams directly to the firm’s financial crime team.

The provider said the tool would allow anyone who thinks they have been exposed to - or fallen victim to - an impersonation or cloning scam linked to Quilter's branding or marketing to blow the whistle. It said the information received by Quilter would assess the legitimacy of the investment proposition and the consumer would get a response the next working day.
