FOS-plagued Copia WM enters liquidation

Manchester-based Copia Wealth Management has entered liquidation following a several complaints at the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS).

According to the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), the firm's director Floyd Paterson has appointed Crawford Accountants in Manchester as liquidator. Copia officially entered liquidation on Thursday (10 September), according to a note on the FCA register. The firm's register entry did not list any permission restrictions. The firm ran into trouble at the FOS when it transferred a client's defined benefit (DB) person into a self-invested personal pension (SIPP).
