Adviser receives recognition for 3D printing PPE for care homes

Wales-based adviser Robert Lewis has received recognition from the Personal Finance Society after using his 3D printer to make face shields to protect healthcare workers.

Lewis (pictured), who is an IFA at Celtic Financial Planning and director trustee of carer supporting charity Newcis, spent the last month making personal protective equipment (PPE) for use in care homes. By the end of April, Lewis had made 30 face shields and aims to make at least 100 in the weeks to come to support care workers in his area who have struggled to access PPE during the coronavirus pandemic.
